dj mixes
Pink Saturday, 2011 [284.3mb, 320kbps MP3]
This is a recording from my DJ set at The San Francisco Pride Pink Party on June 25, 2011.
It’s a 2 hours of KROQ-inspired '80s New Wave and Freestyle.
The volume levels are low, and there's a few sloppy mixes but otherwise it&8217;s a pretty killer set that was live and unrehearsed.
Enjoy!
Lunch Breaks [52.5mb, 128kbps MP3]
I’ve been wanting to do a breaks demo for a while now, so this is it.
It’s all live and improv and features a bunch of really hot, deep, glitchy breaks.
Recorded on May 15, 2009.
50 Minutes of Qoöl [91.2mb, 256kbps MP3]
A live set that I spun at Qoöl on June 18, 2008.
The Sweaty Mix [89.1mb, 192kbps MP3]
A live set from March 26, 2008.
My First Demo [66.3mb, 128kbps MP3]
This is the first “demo” that I ever recorded and is an archive of a radio show that I used to do on Theory Radio every Wednesday from noon to 2pm.
internet radio
I used to DJ Every Wednesday from 12noon - 2pm on an internet radio station called Theory Radio.
I focused mainly on electrohouse and breaks dance music, but I occasionally mixed it up with some rare and obscure tracks to keep the show fresh.

May 27, 2009 [59.1mb, 160kbps MP3]
During the first half of my radio show, I decided to try and play a bit more vocal electro this time around just to see how it would go.
It starts out a bit rough but gets better as I wake up and get into the groove.
Here are the results.
May 06, 2009 [130.8mb, 128kbps MP3]
After several soul-searching weeks of talk-show style programming and sharing my personal music history, I decided it was time to get back into the groove.
And that is exactly what I did.
This set is pretty rough in places, but I blame it on not mixing like this for over a month.
Who am I kidding… it was the caffeinated protein shake.
There’s a bonus in this particular show because I had my friend do a call-in to discuss some new tracks that he produced.
April 22, 2009 [107.6mb, 128kbps MP3]
This was one of my stranger shows.
I had spent several hours the night before preparing for it, and for some reason I felt very uncomfortable working from a prepared script.
The content, however, is worthy of posting because I did a special segment I called “Music From Unlikely Sources” where all of the music produced was done on objects that did not begin their life as an instrument.
The rest of the set went fairly well, but I can tell from my voice that I wasn’t happy with it.
This just goes to prove that not everything has to be perfect to be good.
May 03, 2008 [149.9mb, 160kbps MP3]
This is one of my favorite Theory Radio Archives.
It’s a mix that blends electro, techno and house as well as some little surprises here and there for good measure.
A little over two hours long, with a chocolaty center of horoscopes and bullshit.
December 12, 2007 [136.6mb, 160kbps MP3]
This is an older set from when I used to spin off of my computer.
It’s pretty fun and eclectic mix of downtempo and weird stuff.
And it’s 2 hours long!
hawthorne
Back in 1991, I recoded a rather strange album on 4-track. I affectionally call the album “Hawthorne,” named after the city in which I was living at the time.

panic underground — finally
I used to be a rock star.
Well… almost.
In 1989, I met up with some guys who were searching for a bass player.
I must have fit the bill because they asked me to play with them.
We spent years collaborating and rehearing music in a converted garage.
We played numerous live shows around Los Angeles and Hollywood and gained a fairly respectable following.
At one point, we had some record label interest but soon after that fell through we all split apart.
20 years later, we released a CD!
